Sea Hunter

The Sea Hunter is designed for bottom fishing and bottom trawls, where the trawl-doors can be used without weights behind the doors. What characterizes the Sea Hunter is that it spreads the trawl very well, is stable and keeps its position in the water, even when the doors are going above the seabed. The Sea Hunter is effortless to haul and turn with, and is energy efficient. The Sea Hunter is also used for fishery on soft seabed, where the doors need to be kept some meters above the seabed. The Sea Hunter has also, in few cases, been used in fishery for prawns in the Barents Sea.

The Sea Hunter is manufactured from high quality Hardox 450 and S355 steel.

Markus, a trawler from Greenland, was the first to use the Sea Hunter. In 2016 they ordered a new sett of the Sea Hunter. The testimonial from the captain of Markus sums up quit well how good the trawl-doors are.
